Through a collaboration with the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation (CIFO), this year Artoconecto is conducting affordable art workshops at the foundation headquarters in downtown Miami. Each year, artists are selected to conduct workshops designed to teach children unique art techniques, styles and processes, while engaging them in a stimulating unforgettable learning process.
Since 2008, Artoconecto's KIDSART has been working with inspiring working and dedicated artists whose participation has contributed to a life changing experience for the kids.
It is our mission to continue bringing the most dynamic and diverse group of contemporary artists to the lives of our children, and through partnerships and collaborations in the area, our mission is expanding and benefiting more and more children, because the arts should be a part of every child's life. Thank you to all the amazing artists for making this year another successful KIDSART. Special thanks to the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation for its continued support and nurturing of the program.

MONDAY
JULY 1ST AND TUESDAY JULY 2ND. From 2PM to 5PM. Open to all children
ages 6 to 12. At CIFO-Cisneros Fontanal Art Foundation.
KIDSART@CIFO Summer Series: Layered Explorations, By Victor Muniz.
Workshop:
The 1st assignment will begin by asking the children to draw shapes and
images across 2 large panels of hardboard, stimulating raw creativity
and freehanded exploration. They will be encouraged to move across the
panel, drawing in several random areas. They will begin by all using
only 1 color, then switching to a new color and eventually a third. The
end result will be a layered collection of all of the children's
drawings. The 2nd assignment will take what they learned on the
freehand exploration onto their own magnet. They will be given an
8.5"x11" magnetic sheet and asked to draw and create their own
magnets...
